Choosing three questions in the first ten minutes
Two questions are fixed. The other three decide whether you finish the paper, so the choice deserves the first ten minutes.
- Read all six optional questions before picking any.
- Mark each part as sure, partial or blank.
- Count marks, not parts. A question with a blank 20-mark part is a 30-mark question.
- Check the section rule: at least one from Section A and one from Section B.
- Between two equal questions, pick the one with a derivation or numerical you can finish.
Write the order of attempt on the question paper before you start, and keep to it.
