Q4. Orthorhombic crystal: interplanar spacing d(hkl)
What do you mean by an orthorhombic crystal? Show that for an orthorhombic lattice, the distance d(hkl) between two crystal planes defined by (hkl) is given by 1/d² = h²/a² + k²/b² + l²/c², where a, b and c are the lengths of the edges.
